2 sticks unsalted butter

1 cup vegetable oil

1 Tbs Crisco butter

1 ½ cups sugar

7 eggs

1 Tsp orange water

1 cup orange juice

3 tsp anise

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

All purpose flour

 

Dissolve baking soda in orange juice.  In a mixing bowl, blend well soft butter, vegetable oil, Crisco butter and sugar until creamy, or about 10 minutes.  Add eggs, one at a time.  Gradually add flour
